Madison Pflance

I have a passion for communication design, editorial design, and illustrations. My love of graphic design grew from my innate ability to organize and my fascination with creating compelling visuals. With my knowledge and experience in graphic design, I strive to deliver the best creative solutions to my clients and their audiences. I graduated from the York University/Sheridan College Program in Design (YSDN) in the summer of 2017.

I am currently working for FIGO Fabrics, the modern division of Northcott Silk Inc., as a marketing graphic designer. I have worked on a multitude of projects including: packaging for pre-cut fabric, editorial design for the FIGO Fabrics Spring 2018 & Fall 2018 lookbooks, magazine ads, online ads, social media posts and e-mail blasts. Previously, I worked for both of the company’s Banyan Batiks division and their primary Northcott fabrics division. In my spare time, I also do some freelance work.

In June 2016 I completed a three-week internship at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) and I was asked to come back in July 2016 to complete their six week Student Education Program. Both of these positions consisted of helping the three in-house designers complete their work overflow. I gained experience working on illustrations, exhibition designs, marketing materials and signage. I worked with both the marketing department and the design department in order to complete and get approval on several different projects.

I hope to keep adding to this collection, meanwhile, please enjoy.
